"There are objects, and then there are objects that bring us joy. Whether it's the creative process or the journey of discovery, some items just need to be seen and touched before you buy them. Our show is dedicated to highlighting the handcrafted work of North American artists and building on the vitality of our industry. The connections we make at an in-person show helps build the longevity required for all of us to grow.  When I think about the clients that have carried my work for 24 years, I'm truly in awe of their success, and so much of my own success as an artist is tied directly to theirs. I also don't know any other industry where you can spend 4 days at a tradeshow next to your competitor and depart as friends. That's what I want our show to focus on. Creating connections and building the support team that leads to success for all of us."

An exciting new wholesale market, MADE Our Show will make its inaugural debut, February 18-20, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. MADE is a unique artisan marketplace featuring more than 150 handmade makers from the United States and Canada. It will take place at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborside Hotel and is open to qualified retail buyers from shops, galleries, stores and museums.

The show’s founder is Laura Hutchcroft, a contemporary jeweler whose work appears in stores across the country. Concerned about the lack of wholesale market opportunities for vendors like herself, Laura spent months surveying the industry and measuring interest. “It was clear,” she said, “that the creative community urgently needed its own market. Both the makers of unique goods as well as the buyers who carry those products were adamant. Pictures alone do not do justice to pieces made with superior materials and craftsmanship, so an in-person meeting is critical. Our market will be an annual event celebrating handmade design in every category from fashion to home goods.”

The show is welcoming both artists and buyers to register now on the show’s website, www.madeourshow.com

Artist applications will be curated to provide a diverse showcase for buyers in all media. MADE also is preparing to introduce “emerging artisans” who will bring new talent and products to the show for the first time. The show will provide coaching and wholesale expertise to develop budding artisan businesses.  “Our goal is to nurture an energetic and exciting venue for the future vitality of American craftsmanship,” Hutchcoft said. “We will be helping a new generation of artisans to develop and grow their creative businesses.”

MADE Our Show will take place at the Renaissance Harborside Hotel, 202 East Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The hotel offers show attendees exceptional room rates, so they can enjoy staying, exhibiting and shopping all in one place. MADE Our Show is also conveniently scheduled immediately before the popular American Craft Council Show which will be held February 21-23 at the Baltimore Convention Center which is just steps from the Renaissance Hotel.
